How Often Should You Promote Your Product?

Well, let me just say that the “American way” is sending an email offering your product, every single day. I know it sounds like you’d be going overboard, but I do want you to get that in your head that when you market to a North American list, this is the way to go. I mean you’ve got to make things happen and sometimes you should be a little more aggressive. However, you may choose to take a week off by not sending anything out to your list. Usually, how I break up the month is I hit my list hard for three weeks and then take a week off.

Then, I may hit my list hard for two more weeks and take another week off and just kind of let things happen from there. Now you may be worried that people are going to unsubscribe because you yourself reacted that way and got turned off with someone that constantly bombarded you with emails, but the truth is people are going to love you or hate you regardless of how often you email them. If someone unsubscribes, let them!! Just keep moving forward and making things happen. Here’s the deal, you’re only making money when you are sending out emails. No Emails = No Money! Use me for example. I was hitting my list hard for my Internet Marketing Dirt promo... But why? Well, here’s why.....I received over 2,500 subscribers for just this one product that generates approximately $80,000 a month in additional revenues.

So, I really don’t care if I lose a few subscribers to make that kind of money. Don’t let unsubscribers bother you. If you have JV’s set up that’s great, that is going to get you in tight with people. However, remember you are probably going to make more of your core money by promoting your own products. Maybe what you could do is spend two weeks selling other people’s stuff and then one or two weeks selling yours. Test it out and see how it goes. If you sell one a lot more than the other then maybe you want to dedicate more time to that product and less on the other.

Remember, if you are promoting something that can be highly useful then people are going to be interested no matter how often they are told about it. Many people take longer to make decisions and sometimes forget or get distracted by other things and other people check their email periodically, so you really want to remind them as much as possible.
